Kerala NEET ranklist to be revised

The Rank list of CBSE given to the State of Kerala, based on the results of NEET UG 2013, will be revised considering the eligible candidates only of KEAM 2013 in the list to be provided by the CBSE.
CBSE while inviting applications had given the students the facility to identify three States of their preference if they were eligible for admission to MBBS/BDS in those states. However, the eligibility of students had not been checked. So all students who gave the State (s) choice while applying for NEET UG 2013, would be included in the rank list given by CBSE to the state. However, the state would identify those among them eligible for MBBS/BDS admission in the state.

You can check last 4 years cut off rank of Kerala Medical admission at edusahayi.com

A candidate who had opted for ‘Kerala’ in the NEET Application would be eligible for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses only if the candidate is eligible as per Clause 6.1 of the Prospectus for Admission to Professional Degree Courses, Kerala, 2013.
According to this Clause, a candidate of Kerala origin will be categorized as a ‘Keralite’. Children of All India Service (AIS) officers (Non-Keralites) allotted to Kerala cadre are deemed to be ‘Keralites’ without eligibility for Communal/Special/Persons with Disabilities reservation. Candidates who do not come under ‘Keralite’ or 'Non-Keralite Category I' will be categorized as ‘Non-Keralite Category II' who are eligible only for admission to Engineering courses in Management quota seats in Government Controlled Self financing Colleges and Government seats in Private Self Financing Engineering Colleges.
So if any candidate who had applied for MBBS/BDS under KEAM and who falls under NK –II category, such candidates will not be included in the process of selection for MBBS/BDS.
Category list based on the revised ranks if any would be released by the CEE after this. The OBC category specified by the CBSE has no relevance in Kerala since the state has only ‘Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC). In this category itself, there are reservations for Muslim, Ezhava, Backward Hindu, Backward Christian, Latin Catholic and Kudumbi, in different proportions. Category list for SC/ST and Special Reservation will also be announced by the CEE. Only after this, the allotment process would take off. This time, there is going to be a separate allotment for MBBS/BDS.
With regard to the other states, if any person of Kerala has opted for that state, he/she has to show documentary evidence to prove that he/she is eligible for admission to the Government seats in the state. If not, the student will not be considered for admission to those states.
The number of candidate who have been assigned rank exceeds three lakhs. However, the number of seats available for MBBS is only a little more than 10 percent of that. Even under All India Quota, there are only over 3000 seats for the courses. So there is no chance for the majority of those ranked in NEET UG 2013, to get an MBBS/BDS seat. Even with regard to the states, the admission principles of the state will be applicable. So one has to wait and see the actual number of students eligible for MBBS/BDS admissions.
